NestED Talk on Friday, February 12th at 3:30pm

Rosa Weinberg is a design educator and artist. Trained as an architect, she focuses her teaching and creative practice on the conceptualization and fabrication of sculptural wearables, assistive devices for disability, speculative prosthetics, and wearable tech for dance. Her teaching work has led her to write about teaching and learning in design education. From 2014 to 2020 she was a Senior Coach and the Director Studio Development at NuVu Studio, an innovative high school in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She currently holds adjunct positions in the industrial design departments at RISD and Keene State College and serves as a consultant for product design and K12 Design Education. She is also developing wearable tech for a performance with choreographer Emily Beattie and poet U-Meleni Mhlaba-Adebo.
